I am a Technical Officer at the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies. My work focuses on the development of health systems and health policy in Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia. I edit Health System Reviews for many countries in this region as well as covering developments in the United Kingdom.

I am an honorary Associate Professor in the Centre for Global Chronic Conditions. I am also an honorary research fellow at my alma mater, the Centre for Russian, Eurasian and European Studies (CREES) at the University of Birmingham.
