My research interests centre on the interactions between bacteria, viruses and climate and their effect on disease. During my CREATE PhD Fellowship, I will be based at the MRC Unit The Gambia, working with the TransVir household cohort to investigate how respiratory viruses influence bacterial colonisation and transmission. By combining field epidemiology, microbiology, and mathemetical modelling, I aim to generate new insights into pathogen dynamics that can inform vaccine strategies and public health interventions.

I am currently working on a household-level joint hidden state hidden Markov model with collaborators from ACCIDA.
