BIO

I am a clinician-trialist, a growing research leader, and a maternal and newborn health epidemiology enthusiast. I have extensive experience in clinical trial implementation in Sub-Saharan Africa. Between 2017 and 2021, I coordinated the implementation of the PregnAnZI-2 trial, a UKRI-funded multi-country intrapartum azithromycin trial in The Gambia and Burkina Faso. I am now leading ancillary studies funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to understand the long-term effects of intrapartum azithromycin on growth, anaemia, and mortality in the study of children until the age of 5 years.
