I investigate health equity issues within the framework of infectious disease outbreak preparedness and response. As a member of the Wellcome-funded Infectious Disease Equity Consortium (InDiE), I work to maximise the impact of prevention and control interventions across Africa. Within InDiE, I lead the outbreak response case study and conduct cross-country analyses to identify tools that narrow social inequalities following the introduction of new health technologies.

I also work with the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (UK-PHRST).

I have experience with epidemiologic research and outbreak investigations of tuberculosis, cholera, dengue fever, healthcare-associated infections, and COVID-19. I did my doctoral research in infectious disease epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and completed my Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) training fellowship in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at CDC.
