I am a PhD student interested in optimizing the delivery of Public Health Interventions through social networks.

My current work will focuses on designing delivery models optimized through social networks for HIV and Schistosomiasis services for fishermen in Mangochi. Fishermen are greatly burdened by HIV which is fueled by risky sexual behavior such as transactional sex and they also face a substantial burden from schistosomiasis as they spend most of their working hours in schistosomiasis-infested waters. Both conditions have proven testing and treatment approaches however there are barriers that limit the accessibility of such services. Thus, the PhD will aim to provide delivery models for such services to the fishermen in their communities.
