Rachel Lassman in a UK trained Occupational Therapist with 25 years of clinical experience. She has been living and working in Uganda for over 10 years. She is a Research Assistant at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Global Co-ordinator for Baby Ubuntu: early care and support for children with developmental disabilities. She has worked on the Baby Ubuntu programme the since its inception in 2015, supporting its design, contributing to associated research project to develop an evidence base for the programme and leading the development of robust training and mentorship systems, and supporting programme implementation in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya. She is passionate about working with families of young children with developmental disabilities in a collaborative and participatory way.
