BIO

I am a physician and research scientist specializing in vaccine epidemiology. My work focuses on understanding how different populations in Africa respond to commonly used vaccines. I am particularly fascinated by the diverse responses to vaccines and the non-specific (beneficial) effects they may have. My research seeks to answer questions such as how environmental exposures, like malaria, affect vaccine responses and how BCG re-immunization might serve as a tool to enhance the benefits of other vaccines
