BIO
Bio
I am a statistical epidemiologist working mainly on statistical methods applied to mental health outcomes in the UK, and on the epidemiology and control of infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Since 2019, I have been affiliated with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and I am currently a Wellcome Trust-funded PhD student in Public Health Economics and Decision Science at the University of Sheffield (2024-2028).
My academic journey began with a BSc in Applied Statistics from Maseno University, Kenya (2013), followed by a postgraduate fellowship in Medical Statistics at LSHTM (2017) and a research placement at Zambart in Zambia (2018), where I primarily worked on TB and HIV data from cluster-randomized trials and contributed to the TREATS prevalence survey.
Earlier in my career (2013-2017), I primarily engaged in the use of spatial and spatiotemporal methods for habitat suitability modelling and disease prevalence mapping.
