I am a Research Fellow in Medical Statistics and Epidemiology at LSHTM. My research focuses on evaluating programmes targeting adolescents and young people, where I have led the quantitative analyses of several projects including the DREAMS Impact Evaluation and the MTV Shuga evaluation. I also work extensively with secondary datasets to understand social and health challenges. I currently lead analyses of data from the British National Surveys of Sexual Lifestyles (Natsals 3 and 4) to understand fertility trends and intentions in 21st century Britain (FIESTA).

I completed my PhD at LSHTM, funded by the MRC London Intercollegiate Doctoral Training Partnership (MRC-LID DTP). My doctoral research examined the causal pathways and mechanisms of action for a complex HIV prevention intervention (DREAMS interventions) among adolescent girls and young women in Kenya, with a focus on applying causal mediation methods to observational data. This research was motivated in part by my broader interest in translating statistical methodology into applied research. I hold a masters degree in Medical Statistics (LSHTM) and a bachelors in Actuarial Science (JKUAT, Kenya).
