I have worked on clinical trials continuously since I started at LSHTM. I have been the statistician and co-investigator on numerous clinical trials, primarily in cardiovascular disease, over this period. I am currently the LSHTM principal investigator helping to lead a wonderful team running trials in trials in routine cerebral embolic protection in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (BHF PROTECT-TAVI), percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with ischaemic ventricular dysfunction (REVIVED-BCIS2), immediate coronary angiography after out of hospital cardiac arrest (ARREST) and high-risk coronary Intervention with percutaneous left ventricular unloading (CHIP-BCIS3). I am also a member of a the Women in Cardiovascular Trials Group, a collaboration to highlight the under-representation of women at all levels of cardiovascular trials with the aim to improve cardiovascular healthcare and research for women.
